In parts of La Canada, when you flush the toilet, it doesn’t just “go away” like in most other parts of the USA. We have an “on-site waste water system” which means when you flush, it goes to hole in the ground (in the simplest of terms).
It was built in 1929 like the rest of the home. I say if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
